One of the primary solutions offered by ALEC to increase student enrollment without reaching maximum student enrollment capacity is through External Studies offerings. Given the fact that External Studies student enrollment is limited by the type of external education employed (e.g., Correspondence Courses, Television Broadcasting, Online, et cetera), and the type of media employed (e.g., Printed Text, Audio/Video Recordings, CD-ROM, DVD, Television Broadcastings, videoconferencing, Email, et cetera) to bring the education to the students, not by the amount of classroom space, student enrollment becomes virtually unlimited.
To afford education providers the best possible solutions to their expansion needs,
ALEC focuses on the following “External Studies” solutions:
Expansion through Distance Learning Offerings
Expansion through Corporate Training
The Expansion through Corporate Training solution affiliates the Client’s institution with education providers that specialize in providing training to businesses. Through this affiliation, the Corporate Training provider offers various education programs that are either offered by the Client’s institution, or which are underwritten by the Client’s institution. Through this affiliation, the Client benefits from a “per student” fee paid by the Corporate Training provider, as well as from the direct recruitment/enrollment of students participating in the Corporate Training programs.
With a global network of education providers, (i.e., Australia, Canada, China, Cyprus, Israel, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America), ALEC is able to afford education providers that desire to expand through Corporate Training an expeditious solution.
Expansion through Group Study Centers
The Expansion through Group Study Centers solution is a relatively new concept within the United States of America, but one that has been very successful for several hundred years throughout most of the rest of the world.
A Group Study Center is either wholly owned by the Client or is owned by an affiliated education provider operating under the Client institution’s name. While the Group Study Center does not provide face-to-face interaction with students, the Group Study Center functions as an external studies division of the Client’s institution, providing remotely located students the ability to study the same or similar courses/programs as those studying through External Studies programs, but with interaction, tutorial, and guidance not normally included within Correspondence Courses and Online delivered programs.

Expansion through Seminars & Workshops
The Expansion through Seminars & Workshops solution affiliates the Client’s institution with education providers that specialize in providing education through Seminars and Workshops. Through this affiliation, the Seminars & Workshops providers offer various educational programs that are either offered by the Client’s institution, or which are underwritten by the Client’s institution.
